Rev. Ralph

Rev. Ralph is an ordained minister and is available to perform your ceremony and help you create a memorable and beautiful wedding day!

Rev. Ralph was born and raised in West Los Angeles, in the home where he still lives. He was a music major at Venice High School, and in college, until he hit the road with a show group in 1970. For the next 12 years he performed all over the country with many major entertainers, and groups of his own.

Sensing a call to ministry, he returned to college (CSUN) for a B.A. in Religious Studies, then earned a Master of Divinity degree from the Claremont School of Theology. Having served as a pastoral intern in four different United Methodist Churches, he was appointed as a local pastor at Los Feliz United Methodist Church (2 years) and then to First UMC of West Los Angeles (10 years).

Now retired, Ralph continues to serve in a lay capacity at Westwood UMC near UCLA, and as a wedding minister through Great Officiants. He is well-qualified to do a wonderful ceremony for you. For a wedding with a religious flare, Rev. Ralph is your man. He also happily performs non-religious ceremonies.

From Yelp

Working with Great Officiants was such a pleasure. Alan was super helpful with all our questions on what to do. Our officiant, Rev Ralph, was a perfect fit. From the minute we met Rev Ralph, we knew he was the officiant we wanted. He was very easy to work with. Rev Ralph customized our ceremony to our traditions and checked up on us via email throughout the days before the wedding.

Great officiants were just amazing to work with. We took the option of getting all the paper work done with them rather than go to the court house. We had a few questions after the wedding about our marriage certificate and Alan was still as helpful as always. We even had family and friends who used Great Officiants for their wedding years ago applause us for our choice.

Thank you guys for making this part easy and pleasant. We definitely recommend them!
